Property
Sweet, pungent, hot; little toxin, liver and kidney meridians entered.

Actions
Warm kidney, invigorate yang, dispel cold and dampness.

Indications
Kidney yang deficiency, chronic cold, damp arthralgia, cold pain, diarrhea due to yang deficiency of spleen and kidney.

Dosage and Administrations
Decoct 5~15 g, dissolved in wine, or prepared into pill and powder.

Cations
It is contraindicated in cases of yin deficiency with effulgent fire, and long term usage, because it is toxic.

  仙茅,为石蒜科植物仙茅的根茎。2~4月发芽前或7~9月苗枯萎时挖取根茎,洗净,除去须根和根头,晒干。或蒸后晒干。
性味
  辛,温,有毒。
归经
  入肾、肝经。
功能主治
  温肾阳,壮筋骨。治阳萎精冷,小便失禁,崩漏,心腹冷痛,腰脚冷痹,痈疽,瘰疬,阳虚冷泻。
